Courses Available

As well as being the place to borrow books and DVDs, many local libraries also offer courses to the general public.

If you are receiving benefits of any kind, these courses are entirely free!

If you are not on benefits, then they are very low cost.

Quite a few people sat facing away from the camera working at computers.

So, what’s on offer?

Check for exact details, but we now offer courses in basic computing, desktop publishing, accounts, wordprocessing, spreadsheets, graphics and more.

Quite a few of our libraries also offer formal education in maths and English up to Level 1 and Level 2, which is a requirement for many types of employment these days.

If you don’t think you are good enough to get to Level 1, then we offer the less advanced Entry Level 2 and Entry Level 3.

Of course, the best way to find out is to see is to pop in and take an assessment which will tell us what level you are currently at, and therefore which class you should attend.
